Images of contoured or non-contour products should be cropped to the products edge. Images should appear with a white background and no other products or props should be in image.
Ideal Images format for planograms – Backgrounds and Cropping Studies have shown that imaged planograms have a higher success rate as they are easier to follow and require little or no training to implement. Product and planogram images are not ‘nice to have’ they are essential as most retailers and suppliers now use planograms with photorealistic images so called ‘live images’ these images make planograms look more professional and enable the end user to see more clearly what the layout will look like before any changes are made, it is also possible to see new products or new packaging in their real context before any implementation actually takes place.
